SHARE YOUR STORY WITH ME
I wrote this album for me.
To let out everything I was feeling but couldn’t say out loud.
But the reason I want to talk about it so much is because I want you to feel heard too.
After shows, people sometimes come up to me and tell me their own Suitcase Child stories. It always hits me. It reminds me that we’re all carrying stuff and that maybe sharing it makes it a little lighter.
When I wrote Homesick, I didn’t even realise that’s what I’d been feeling for so long. Homesickness. It made me see even more how important it is to talk about what hurts.
So I made a space where you can share something anonymously.
A line about something you’re tired of feeling.
A memory that still lingers.
Something you wish you’d said, or wish you hadn’t.
Something that’s been sitting in your chest for too long.
I’ll share some of your words during my album release show at the AB. As a reminder that none of us are alone in this.
Thanks for trusting me with your stories.
